Scientists reveal: what kind of people are more “boring”?
We often get bored in the face of tedious work, poor traffic, and tedious housework.

What is Boring?

Research by psychologist Steven Vodanlovich of the University of West Florida and colleagues shows that people who are often bored are at higher risk of anxiety, depression, drug addiction and alcohol addiction.

Two factors contribute to boredom. The boredom is mainly due to two factors: insufficient external stimulus and weak self-regulation ability.
In 2005, Wodanovich and J. Craig Wallace, a psychologist at Oklahoma State University, and Steven Cass of West Florida State University pointed out in the BPS analysis that boredomThere are two main factors responsible for the emergence of this: external stimuli, or the desire for freshness, excitement, and change.
Because of their desire for external stimuli, extroverts are more prone to boredom.

Although extroverted people usually require more external stimuli, their self-regulation capabilities are different.
This is the second factor summed up by Vodanlovich in the BPS test.
People with a wide range of hobbies and creativity don’t easily fall into boredom.
